I was given this bundle rope that was entirely knotted up. The bundle had served as a "quick fix" where an amount would be pulled 'till it couldn't be pulled anymore and then cut. Finally it got so tangled that it was useless to pull on it anymore.
I didn't think to take a picture of the whole mass when I first got it and in the first pics you can see where I have already started to separate the ends a little.
Anyway, through a little time, a lot of patience I came out with more than 850ft of nylon reinforced rope and didn't make one cut.

I have gone through that a few times with rolls of 550 cord.
Still round the corner there may wait a new road or a secret gate and though I oft have passed them by a day will come at last when I shall take the hidden paths that run west of the moon, east of the sun.
Yep I have sorted some rope in the past that was a tangled mess and it is an exercise in patience. That however is way beyond what I have done. Amazing someone would let their rope get that bad. But their mess becomes your benefit as you got a lot of good rope for just the price of untangling it.
Now that is a project! gotta give that to a person heavy on the OCD track, just gotta make sure you water and feed them till they come up for air!

Yeah, my forge is down, going to have to rebuild it from the ground up. So, I have to do something to keep my hands busy, I cant sit idle with no project; just not in my nature.
