hood, craft materials FREE to novice / youth (all gone)
Know a young man or woman just starting in the hobby that's got the time, talent, and enthusiasm but doesn't have the cash to build a kit?
I've got some materials sitting around from my renn-faire days that isn't suitable for strict historical work, but is more than good enough for starting to learn crafting techniques and building a starter kit to hit the woods in. Deerhide, a scrap of pigskin, a wool hood and scrap wool for pouches - I probably even have some tooling leather somewhere I can throw in for a knife sheath.
First "I'll take it!" with a recommendation for the tyro in their life gets it.
(Also, anyone with a similarly crowded workbench that wants to pass it forward, please feel free to add to the pile. )

What a wonderful idea! I may have some stuff to add to the pile myself, but it'll have to wait a bit until I can go through all my sewing/leatherworking/crafting supplies again. Still, l think what you've got here is a great starter kit for someone wanting to get into the hobby and try their hand at making their own kit! Bravo!

Sorry, I know this has been up for months, but is this still available? I am completely new here, and I would absolutely love to have some material to start crafting

Oh dear!
I'm afraid mine is long gone - but perhaps Manv's is still available?

Northern Ranger: pm me your name and address and I'll see what I can send you.

Y'know, it's terrible, but I never actually got around to sorting through all that material. I might still have something I'd be willing to pass on, but I don't know when I'll find the time to organize it and see what's there.

If there is any chance you have some left I would like to use it being as I need to work on creating some new things. I don't really have a good start on my kit other than a cloak from my brother and a tomahawk with a sheath that I have been making.

Hi Browno!
It's long gone I'm afraid, but I'll float a new thread next time I purge the craft room.

A little bit of both I am looking for small pouches, leather, canvas, clothing, some armor, and if I was lucky a saxe knife and throwing knife.Peter Remling wrote:Browno:
