I built a new sword today

A central place to talk about weapons and armour, as it relates to your kit. This is where you show it of or talk about making it. Discussing the relative merits of types of weapons goes in the WMA section.

I was going for "Glamdring blue" on the grip. I'm quite happy with how it turned out.

Looks pretty cool. What'd you use for material?

It has a hanwei tinker longsword blade, and a hilt set from LG martial arts. The grip is wood, wrapped in cord, wrapped in leather that I did myself.

That is lovely. Glamdring Blue is spot-on.

I've been contiplating that same blade, but the images in KoA are a bit grainy. Did you keep the Tinker threaded tang or peen it?

I used the same pommel nut system as the tinkers. I want to be able to swap out the blunt and sharp blades. I actually cut about 3" off of the end of the tang and re-threaded it to make it more of a hand & a half.

Great work!
Gimli: It's true you don't see many Dwarf-women. And in fact, they are so alike in voice and appearance, that they are often mistaken for Dwarf-men.
Aragorn: It's the beards.
