I Climbed Weathertop (Almost)

Post by Iodo »

Got out in kit for the first time since starting this years college.

First I walked through forest, then out onto open ground towards something that, with a little imagination, could be Weathertop.

Then I climbed, it was to windy to take a photo stood on the very top, so here's the view from part way down the cliff on the back (out of the wind):

Then I headed back, through the forest where I stopped for a rest,

for a quick look at some damage that could only have been caused by a passing mountain giant :P

and to check out some poisonous forest plant life.

It was a good day

Beautiful photos. You've really sparked my wanderlust.

Luckily, headed on a short vacation to the forests and lakes of Michigan's Upper Peninsula soon.

Oh that looks grand. I do miss wide open spaces. Those moors look amazing!
