Patrol to Dol Guldur

Post by Wild Vins »

Hello everyone !

I've been with you for several weeks already and I still haven't posted any photos of my equipment, please excuse me, I'll fix it quickly.

In the meantime, here are some photos from my outing today. :P

Indeed, according to my informants from Mirkwood, the old fortress of Dol Guldur has for some time been occupied by a dark evil and orcs and wargs have been seen there.

I therefore decided to go on a solitary reconnaissance patrol to verify the facts.

This patrol was not in vain because the information was true, around fifteen orcs were destroyed today, the others having fled on their great wolves. :x

In reality, we are at the Chalucet fortress, in France.
These ruins, which are located a stone's throw from my house, are freely accessible 24 hours a day, so I went there at dawn this morning and there were no visitors on site, which allowed me to do some photos and also some archery inside the castle itself (on target obviously  ).

Enough talking, I’ll let you enjoy the photos!

Ps: In these photos, I am wearing my full outfit as well as my light travel bag configuration (I will make a post soon to show you my 3 different stages of equipment).

Welcome Ranger! I use the Imgur app for pictures. Other wise I think you have to compress the images but I've had only limited success in doing so. Hopefully someone can walk you through other ways to post. Good luck!

Nice pics.... Good looking recurve........ I like the mossy green cloak
Can't wait for the gear write-up

This is the great thing about being based in the old world...... We might not have days and days of wilderness, but we do have a lot of ruins.

Thanks!
This little horsebow is a nice design, elegant, and easy to draw but it too light (maybe 250 grams!) so it isn't easy to shoot accurate because it isn't stable.
I like it because it's a small size (48") so it's perfect for trekking.
I have got "a lot" of bows at home, so I change for a longer if I need more accuracy.

About the cloak, it's green loden wool.

The complete description will arrive soon, I just need to take pictures but the weather is rainy in France actually, so I'm waiting.
