Your Weapons

A central place to talk about weapons and armour, as it relates to your kit. This is where you show it of or talk about making it. Discussing the relative merits of types of weapons goes in the WMA section.

I have the following at the moment;

Tomahawk
War bow ('D' section traditional medieval)
Elven hunting knife (I forged this one; my version of Aragorn's)
Sling

A variety of spears; winged, Celtic, and Norse

A large collection of swords; Gladii, Viking, Hadhafang, cutlass, La Tene II, Heron Mark Blade, and my all time favorite the 'original' Glamdring from the 80s...Del Tin made and somewhat reworked by me actually.

I also have a seax, a scramasax, and some bronze knives (period replicas), Kbar and so on.

I have a composite bow on the way in, a horse bow to be more precise, the brushy nature of the woodlands here encouraging this.

My Sticklestad Viking Sword arivived yesterday from Kult of Athena.

I'm excited as all get-out, but most of my friends and relatives keep asking what I'm going to do with it.

I have in my collection. . .

A Cold Steel English Basket-Hilt Broadsword
A Masahiro Katana
several bokken, a pair of shinai
A Cold Steel Assegai Spear w/ short Ash shaft (I want to put this on a longer shaft, it will make a good ranger spear.

A hand-forged Rifleman's knife w/ elk antler handle

A brass-sword hilted dagger like Peter? has

A Ritter Steel Sgian Dubh, the sheath on this is Basswood? Otherwise its a good blade.

And my Windlass Steel Ranger Sword w/ byblade and matching dagger.
I need to get this one sharpened somehow. . .

Still on the list of things to get is a decent Bow

Man Dave. I really need to get together with you and see your armoury one day. I still need to put a handle on that axe head you gave me. We're getting settled in nicely and I'm about to start doing some of my own projects again.

You are always welcome at my home and the 20h of December is a large gathering you may enjoy, it is period wear so your whole family can put on there middle earth best and fit right in. I will post photos of the last gathering in a new thread when I dig them out.
