Re: The Riddle Game
You want to know what REALLY happened to the 7 dwarf ring bearers???? Snow white found them

Yeah and you know what happened to her!
I am Ringulf the Dwarven Woodsman, I craft leather, wood, metal, and clay,
I throw axes, seaxes, and pointy sticks, And I fire my bow through the day.
Come be my ally, lift up your mead! We'll search out our foes and the Eagles we'll feed!

Re: The Riddle Game
But the elves' rings did not come from Sauron, and he did not offer them friendship in exchange for "the least of rings" like he did to the dwarves. Remember, that is why they came to Rivendell - they wanted to know why Sauron wanted the "least of rings."Ringulf wrote:I would think that it would be the Elves, not the Dwarves, they got 7 rings and the Elves got three.
Here's a nice chestnut: a little clumsy and long-winded, but my first attempt at this sort of thing.
Sunlight, Moonlight
Before Sun or Moon
High-Elves Inspiration
Treasure taken
From the High-Elves Land
They burn the Evil Hand
Strife among Kin
Begetter of Woe
Beginning of Sorrows
Man's Nobel Quest
High-Elven Bride-Price
Heirloom of Half-Elven
Light in the dark
Shines out in the Night
Calls for help from the West

Re: The Riddle Game
Easy enough the silmarils.
Alone a ranger travels unseen and unheard beware those of dark heart for you will sleep not in comfort while I walk.
Re: The Riddle Game
Anyone up for another riddle? I might have made mine a little too obvious, but here it goes:
Old these beasts of wisdom are;
Wardens o’ weald near and far
Their power quickly grew
Lest evil would burn and hew
There was a man of many colour
Who drew their wrath and dolor
A fortress of steel once stood tall
Now no longer after his downfall
Old these beasts of wisdom are;
Wardens o’ weald near and far
Their power quickly grew
Lest evil would burn and hew
There was a man of many colour
Who drew their wrath and dolor
A fortress of steel once stood tall
Now no longer after his downfall
A Elbereth Gilthoniel
silivren penna mÃriel
o menel aglar elenath!
Na-chaered palan-dÃriel
o galadhremmin ennorath,
Fanuilos, le linnathon
nef aear, sà nef aearon!
silivren penna mÃriel
o menel aglar elenath!
Na-chaered palan-dÃriel

Ha! Can I do one?
bee-hoard,
swine-hoard,

I die to stretch life
