Greetings From Alabama
Hello everyone! I found the forum here while searching to see what other people had done with the Tandy frontiersman boot pattern. One of your posts showed up, and as soon as I started looking around, I knew I was home.
To give a little background on myself, I've been a Tolkien fanatic since I was eight years old (22 years ago). I started then by reading The Hobbit, and by the time I was 11 I had read through the LOTR twice and the Silmarillion. I still read through all the books at least once a year, and they never get old. Aragorn was my hero as a kid, the book Aragorn...not the movie one! I spent many hours out in the woods pretending to be a ranger, and many of my interests that I retain to this day stem from this time.
Among my many hobbies I enjoy leather working, metal working, wood working, bow making, bushcraft and survival, camping, reading, traditional archery, and ren fests. I've spent the last several weeks reading through the old posts on this forum, and it looks like I have a lot of kindred spirits here.
I wish I had found this place years ago. I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone here, and to all the discussions to come.
Mae Govannen,
Brian

Mae govannen! I like your kit.

Greetings Brian and well met!
I am so glad you are with us but you didn't have to wait till you read everything! We may have gotten the pleasure of knowing you sooner!
Ah well don't feel bad about not finding it years ago, you are young and have alot of time to sink into the group!
My story is similer to yours, though a few years older (quite a few) but even I feel like it is never to late to welcome something good into your life.
Please be welcome you are among friends!

Hail and well met Brian! Welcome to the Fellowship! And may I echo my fellow Rangers, "more pics please!"
LOVE NOT THE BRIGHT SWORD FOR IT'S SHARPNESS OR THE ARROW FOR IT'S SWIFTNESS, BUT RATHER LOVE THAT WHICH THEY DEFEND

Dirhael ranger of South Gondor at your service!
Do feel welcome here, we are all nice people deep down- apart from some.. Anyway don't mind me I'm not around a huge lot of the time but do give us some more photos. Or hand you over to the orcs! (without meaning to sound threatening )
