Hello all,

Brad Rangell and I are proud to launch our new study group, Long Island Historical Fencing Society. Dedicated to the Lichtenauer tradition of Historical Europe Martial Arts ('HEMA') and focusing primarily on the German Longsword, LIHFS holds classes in Queens and Woodbury and is actively seeking new students and practitioners to join us. We are not SCA or LARP, we are students of the sword and other weapons used in medieval times. Please contact us at 631 780 4682 for more information or to sit in on a class...

Regards,
Michael Capanelli
L.I.H.F.S.

Bon chance mon Ami!

I hope you and your partner flourish. My only regret is to not still live on the Island myself!

Let me know when the first video's are ready for sale so we can spread it around!

I'm sure you will do well. There has been a resurgence in the interest of medieval weapon technique...and not many able to teach.
Look forward to hearing about your progress.
