Making A Friction Clasp Knife From Scratch. No Forge Work.

Hard Kit is all other accoutrements that are not clothing, weapons or armour. This includes pots and tents, and flint & steel, and other things like that.

If you go to my channel, you will find parts 2,3,4,5,6 & 7. http://www.youtube.com/user/historicalt ... ature=mhee

This is the first friction knife I have ever made from scratch. The first one I made was a learning project & I used an old worn blade from a kitchen knife. Any mistakes I make are in this video series, I did not edit anything out. The only editing was done to shorten the video.
This process of making the blade can of course also be used to make a fixed blade knife.
Regards, Keith.
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less travelled by,
And that has made all the difference.
