Armour and other things

A lot of reenactment level work is about learning appropriate historical crafts and skills. This board is for all general skills that don't have their own forum.

I don't remember seeing this here before but if I'm wrong sorry use it as a reminder. I found it while searching around for a few ideas.

Great site. Bookmarked for later use.

For 14th c. armor, look into Techniques of Medieval Armour Reproduction. The spaulder instructions looked straight out of the book. He deals with head-to-toe pieces and most of all the how-to instructions. Well laid-out and pictures galore.

I have the ToMAR...good book. I also have a pdf called Basic Armoring by Paul Blackwell that gives some good info. I think the pdf is on http://www.armourarchive.org.
Still round the corner there may wait a new road or a secret gate and though I oft have passed them by a day will come at last when I shall take the hidden paths that run west of the moon, east of the sun.
