Another ranger out of the woodwork
Another ranger out of the woodwork
Well-met, friends!
I found this refuge some months ago and have been lurking in the shadows all winter, but no more! This first day of Summer (by the Old calendar) brings me out of the shadows.
I hail from the hills of Kantuckee, from a farm on the banks of the great river Ohio, eighteen leagues below the falls.
For my part, I practice gardening, leather- & wood-work, sewing, hide-tanning, armour making, bowyery and fletching, and any number of similar self-reliant skills of Hobbitry.
I think I'm in good company here.

Welcome to the group. You are indeed among kindred spirits here.
Still round the corner there may wait a new road or a secret gate and though I oft have passed them by a day will come at last when I shall take the hidden paths that run west of the moon, east of the sun.

Re: Another ranger out of the woodwork
Welcome. We recently had three of us get together in central Indiana for some hiking, and there's talk of a southern Ohio moot this summer. Hopefully you can make it.Udwin wrote:Well-met, friends!

You most certainly are welcome as for the company we will let you decide! Don't be a stranger!
I am Ringulf the Dwarven Woodsman, I craft leather, wood, metal, and clay,
I throw axes, seaxes, and pointy sticks, And I fire my bow through the day.
Come be my ally, lift up your mead! We'll search out our foes and the Eagles we'll feed!

Ha, another devotee of the old reckoning. It so bugs me that Midsummer's Day somehow is supposed to mark the first day of summer.Udwin wrote: This first day of Summer (by the Old calendar) brings me out of the shadows.

Whoever said May Day is the first day of summer has clearly never been to Colorado, as we are in the middle of a major blizzard, heh.

Welcome!

Welcome Ranger Udwin....it's good to have another brother from Kentucky.
In the darkest part of Sherwoods glade, in the thickest part of the wood, there are those who say, can still be seen, the ghost of Robin Hood.
