Learning useful skills

For our second meet of March, the older rangers of the group got together and learned how to make and set snares - Turnip showed how to rub shoes, hands, pants, snare materials with deer scat to help hide the 'people' scent. We then went out to the woods to look for small game trails and burrows, and learned how to actually set the snares (we then took the snares down, as we wouldn't be able to check them a couple times a day - besides, nobody needed to fill the cooking pot at that time). At our next meet, these rangers will pair up - one on one- with the younger ones, and teach them about snares. Everyone is having great fun and learning some potentially useful skills!/
