Anyone living in or near to central Indiana (or willing to travel, for that matter) is invited to a Hobbit luncheon on Saturday, May 24 in Indianapolis.

It's a family-friendly pot luck and attendees are encouraged to dress in appropriate Middle-Earth clothing.

A friend of mine is hosting; I'm bringing a brace of fire-roasted coneys.

Anyone who is interested, please private message me and I'll get you the particulars.

I hope some other Rangers can attend.

I'd love to...but my Daughter is due the day before.

I thought it was near that date. Two kids increases the work load initially, but by the time they get older, like my boys at 2 and 4.5, they occupy each other quite a bit.

I don't live that close to Indy, but I will be there in August for GenCon. Is there any chance of arranging a meetup one evening that weekend? Does anyone else here attend the best four days in gaming?

That's a great idea. I live under ten minutes to downtown. If nothing else, I've got a large back yard with a pig (or goat) roasting pit- we could have a barbeque at my place. I have some (adult) nephews from Wisconsin who usually come to GenCon, so I was already planning something.

I've done a couple of whole pigs before. If I do a small barbeque for a Middle-Earth crowd, I'm thinking a smaller pig but what I've wanted to try and never done is buying maybe half a goat. I love goat, but I don't think many Americans have had it, let alone have a taste for it.

Maybe a suckling pig and a goat hindquarter..... and a rabbit or two... and some venison if I can get a hold of it..... and some trout....
