Ranger in training?

Post by Cinead »

Whew! It was a bow building kinda day today!

Here is the bow that I finished up for my 5 yr old boy today....his first! We told him that if he does well in kindergarten this fall I will let him tag along hunting.....

It pulls about 20# at his 15" draw.....
Made from osage that Saw Filer sent me.....
Backed with linen....and he wanted it green!
Braintanned handle wrap.

HE LOVED IT! Orks and Uruk BEWARE!

I was also able to clean my shop.....I just cannto work in squalor!
Here I stand...unbowed, unbent, unbroken.

As usual, your bowbuilding skills continue to impress me and everyone else here. Your longbows are gorgeous. One of these days, I'll probably turn around, stop being picky, and just order another bow from you at a reasonable length. Until then, keep 'em coming! VERY well done.

Beautiful bow! I am sure that your son will be quite the ranger with you as a teacher! Do you have pics of other bows you have made?

I'm expecting a son in about two weeks. Seeing pictures of your son shooting the bow you built for him really adds to my already high level of excitement.
