I read that lanolin can be used to prevent rust, so I was wondering if it would be possible to carry a wax of raw wool, the kind with the lanolin still it it? I don't know if it would be greasy enough, but it seems like you could carry a little pouch of it and not have to worry about spilling oil/breaking a bottle.
