Arrow Fletching

A central place to talk about weapons and armour, as it relates to your kit. This is where you show it of or talk about making it. Discussing the relative merits of types of weapons goes in the WMA section.

I know that this topic has come up several times in the past, put I couldn't find that anyone had posted this particular article yet, so I thought I would share it with everyone. Enjoy!

Dang... I wish I had thought of something like this the first and last time I tried to fletch my own practice arrows. That is a very innovative idea that I really want to try my hand at now. Thanks for sharing Brian!

In many ways this is quite similar to RikJohnson's field fletching kit.

I was thinking of RikJohnson's kit when I saw this. I had intended to copy it for my field repair kit, and I still probably will, but the simplicity of this idea spoke to me  Since I have tons of leather scraps lying around, it was very easy for me to put the basic setup together. Now, once my feathers get here, I'll try it out!

my leather fletch-disc in my kit comes from this article.
My addition was to figure out a way to set the cock feather off the nock and put the twist in the feathers.

I have printed a LOT of the articles form that site.
