Resizing photos redux

In the past, I was unable to upload photos because the files were too big and it was suggested that I open a Photobucket account, resize the photos there, then download them to the forum.

That worked for a while, but now when I try to edit photos on Photobucket, they fail to load (from my computer and from my bucket) to the edit page. I looked it up and they basically admit that a percentage of their client account can't access 'edit' and they're not sure how to fix it.

Any other suggestions? (I don't want to open another Photobucket account.)

Thanks.

After Imageshack stopped allowing me to upload more pictures for free, I switched to postimage http://postimage.org/ it has a very simple resize image option when uploading.

I may have to give that a try. I've sent a couple of photos to Peter for a quick fix.

I use photobucket for storage, but if I want to resize them I use the Gimp first...free graphics program. Works a charm.

For what it is worth.

Honestly even MS Paint lets you resize photos easily. Hope this tutorial helps!

Thanks. I've basically only ever used my computers for word processing and accessing the internet and not for any kind of artistic uses. Expect a flurry of photos from me, now.

Haha, no problem! I need more pictures in my life! I am starved for pictures!
