a couple of recently finised projects

I am slowly working on my Woodman impression which will be heavily influenced by Roman and Celtic gear and include much of my gear from that hobby.
First is my belt, it is styled after a celtic toggle belt. On the belt I will carry a small knife with a dangler sheath, and the pouch I just finished It is based off of a small pouch found in the Cave of Letters in Israel. I wore the belt and knife for a few hours last weekend and it was very comfortable.
Next is my Otzi style pack frame which I whipped up in a few hours today. It is made from winged elm, which is supposed to be very resistant to splitting. It is different from the original because I drilled holes in the bow and cross piece and laced them together, then did some lashing with hemp cord. The strapping is some jute webbing from Hobby Lobby. I put a small load on it today and walked around some and it is fairly comfortable. When I get more of my traveling kit figured out I will load it up and take more pics as I test it out actually hiking.
Thanks for looking.
