Some pics from a ride this afternoon.

Post by R.D.Metcalf »

This evening I saddled my horse and took off for about two hours across the pastures and woods, mostly for the heck of it but I also needed to check the fence, always a handy excuse  . This piece of real estate has been in my family for generations and is criss crossed with game and cattle trails. This was my playground as a kid...and it still is. Its also my gym, my hunting ground, and the only place on earth I've ever felt truly at peace.

The frontier moves with the sun and pushes the Red Man of these wilderness forests in front of it... until one day there will be nowhere left. Then our race will be no more, or be not us.

Very cool, looks like a great ride. How soon before you can ride Ranger?

Thanks, Pete.
I'll probably start Ranger under the saddle around this time next year.
