Capitol Peak

Hey all so me and my three friends are doing a pretty awesome road trip this summer. We are driving out to South Dakota and then down to Colorado. The last days in Colorado will be where me and one of my friends on the trip will be hiking capitol peak. I’m just winding if you guys have any good advice on hitting the peak. Yes I do know people died on the peak last year and I know that we should not cut down the gully and do try to be smart we plan on having crampons, ice axe, harness, and climbing rope we plan on being tied in. So if you have any advice for us that would be greatly appreciated and just so you all know we plan on making a video of this trip too.

Keep close to Nature's heart... and break clear away, once in awhile, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean.
