I realized I don't think I've shared these here before, but a few months back I finally got around to making some star brooches in pewter. I've yet to cast any in bronze; maybe next year!
The heptagram/septagram was chosen as I don't see it commonly applied to these brooches, though it has many associations which could be readily applied to Middle-earth lore.
For example, there is here a seven-pointed star within a seven-pointed star, and there are Fourteen Valar, with seven Lords and seven Ladies. Coincidence?
One might even ascribe a male/female aspect to these and their union as a single entity.
The seven-pointed star is also a common form for the badges of modern sheriffs and law-enforcement, and this too seems relevant to some of the ranger's work.
These are available for sale, though I post them here more for purposes of discussion than unabashed self-promotion.

I never knew that bit about the nested stars. That’s a cool association. Great work as always.

Nice work
Gimli: It's true you don't see many Dwarf-women. And in fact, they are so alike in voice and appearance, that they are often mistaken for Dwarf-men.

Oh those are lovely!
... once I'm on the other side of Christmas, I'd love to purchase one with a blue stone.

Is that by chance the same brown fabric we were shooting at a few years back..?

Whatever that was this isn't it, as I just recently got this batch. It's "chocolate" linen from our favourite source.Greg wrote:Is that by chance the same brown fabric we were shooting at a few years back..?
