I was interested to find out that Tolkien never said hobbits have larger than average feet, I guess I was so sure of the stereotype that I must have read it in myself every time I've read the books

Gimli: It's true you don't see many Dwarf-women. And in fact, they are so alike in voice and appearance, that they are often mistaken for Dwarf-men.
