Amazing Leatherworking Class!!

Postby kleenur » Thu Nov 14, 2019 2:17 pm

Heya,
I've noticed that a lot of us here like to work with leather for various projects. Certainly one can find a wealth of info online and learn through experimentation, but I find that it is helpful to take classes. Specifically, I like online classes since my particular territory is fairly rural. At any rate I stumbled across this little gem by Alex Agricola of Black Raven Armoury. It is a leather armor making course, but the skills he is teaching would be applicable to anything. As an engineering/design teacher myself there are a few things I REALLY love about this course.

-It goes into a lot of design theory as opposed to just telling you how to make certain things, or use tools
-It consists of 12 modules that get released every 30 days : This is key because the first couple of modules are all about design. This means you are FORCED to develop good design skills.
-He offers a certification
-His stuff is positively breathtaking.

Enjoy!

Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost."

I've seen his stuff in person before, and it's amazing.

That looks good, thanks for the link :P
Gimli: It's true you don't see many Dwarf-women. And in fact, they are so alike in voice and appearance, that they are often mistaken for Dwarf-men.
Aragorn: It's the beards.
