Re: Ranger of the North
Grand! The point is its in us to keep Tolkiens story going, through us his legacy carries on. I would mind it if somebody who wrote in a similar way and was a good storyteller to carry on his work. In the end we are all rangers and we all primarily exist in the third age so his most classic tale is ...

Re: How would you do it?
Five man team- 2 soldiers, 2 woodsmen, 1 ranger/leader. I would not take an untrained youth on any mission. No way to know what the reactions would be or how skillful they aren't. Unknowns on a mission are a liability. Commendable but with fault. The king asked you to "train" them not tak...

Re: Back Packs...
several eons ago I found and copied the plans to make a pack such as this one. Didnt look too bad to me and im still hoping on making a small pack in a while or so. Looked simple enough to make and the quiver and bedroll straps can be removed

Re: Just an update
This is saddening, I give you my deepest sympathy. We echo on still, our voices to be heard in the next part of our journey and we endure. I hate even the word "cancer." I lost my father three years ago in September to prostate cancer. You are certainly in the Cartrette Family prayers. PM ...

Re: Waybread
I used this old one I found. I did however use vanilla instead of lemon extract and without salt as my personal tweak, Lembas bread to me is supposed to be reasonably nourishing though so im going to redesign a new one the way I perceive Lembas to be, nutritional is a key there and shortcake bread n...

Re: A Dunadain Community?
OH what an amazing place!, wish I lived near. I wish I lived near something interesting or at least remotely ranger...ey. Looks like a grand place to have been, wish I could go. All we got is this http://www.abbeytournament.com/home.htm . Huge once a year medieval tournament, check the gallery. Sad...

Re: Making of video for my Fan film.
Ye done well. Im liking it so far. Once im finished my final exams here in a month ill be intergrating myself into the Ranger community as I would have liked to do earlier. Sadly Fan films are out of my league, just when did the Dunedain ever live amongst the gum trees? (Id like some references if a...
