Re: A Viking in Winter

I think I've posted a couple of Jimmy's videos here before. Or maybe it was on the Facebook group? Anyway, he's a standup guy and one of my favorite YouTubers. He's dead on about how awesome wool is too!

Re: Breelander Pillbox hat

Very very nice! I don't know whether it's because I've been staring at too much real-world reenactment photos but pillbox hats, whether of the Roman or Viking style, seem very fitting for Middle-earth. I really really like the reuse of materials from other projects. Something you see in the archaeol...

Aww thanks everyone! It was a good birthday with good food and friends. I was very lucky to receive several ranger-related items which I should hopefully be posting up soon. Thanks again!

Absolutely brilliant Manv! That looks fantastic and functions even better. Just might borrow that idea for a couple projects of my own.

Re: Leatehr Roman pack from the Comacchio Shipwreck

Heh, I love that we run in the same circles in the wider reenactment sphere. I saw that post just the other day myself and immediately thought of using it for my Ranger kit. I would want to play around with it and how best to configure it with my bedroll and maybe one of Elleth's food snapsacks. But...
