Re: "Ranger's Apprentice"
I saw these just a couple months ago for the first time on a shelf at the grocery store, and I have to admit, I sort of rolled my eyes. They looked like your typical poorly written young-adult drivel, and I figured they were probably not worth my time. But after hearing about them here I was intrigu...

Happy merry HanuChristmaKwanzaYule!
But seriously, happy holidays to all of you too!
And incidentally, I've still gotta get myself an unadorned aluminum pole for Festivus...

Haha, I'd be all for it, since you were the one who actually took the initiative to get back to me at finally let me onto this very excellent site

It seems pretty straightforward actually, but I haven't done it yet. It's definitely been on my agenda for a while now. However, I do have this link to a great facebook group that can help you find any and all resources you need:

The Hobbit Trailer is HERE!!!
I can't believe nobody has posted about this yet! Peter Jackson et al. have just released the first trailer for "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey"!!!!! I cannot express my sheer level of geek-out at the moment! The trailer looks INCREDIBLE! And the song! THE SONG!!! They say there are act...

Good point! I don't think that would be out of the question here either, if you really wanted to give it some extra strength. Might also help weight down the corners a bit.

In fact, here's a spiffy link that gives a step-by-step on just how to do it:

Re: Another Outing (Caution; Pic-Heavy)
Hahaha... Elven paracord indeed! Brilliant! Anyhow, I'd almost say why not just take an even simpler route: assuming one is folliwng the "Greg Method" and using a heavy canvas cloak to double for their shelter tarp, Why not just sew heavy-duty buttonholes or grommets (like they used to hav...

Re: Combination scabbard/quivers
And actually, if your sword rig was set up the right way, and slung high enough at your waist, in theory this could totally be adapted to take full-size arrows. I bet a falchion/quiver combo would look great for someone doing an archer/ranger.

Re: Archer's glove
Those are great looking! Well done! Would you be willing or have to time to show what the two parts of your half glove and bracer look like separated? Don't mean to harrass, but I've been trying to work out a pattern for that or a similar inner glove, and it's just not happening. Planning for my nex...

Re: Indy Moot Spring 2012
This concept sounds amazing. I truly wish I could attend. Unfortunately, I doubt it'll be feasible between work, other obligations, and my fairly consistent money issues. Not to mention the fact that I'm pretty sure my girlfriend would think I had gone crazy, and I'd never hear the end of it (she's ...
