Yeah, no problem!
I'd love to see pictures when it's done, as well as those of anyone else who ends up using this pattern!

Re: The Hunt for Gollum
Haha, yeah, I think I actually found them myself when lurking on these forums quite a while back. I personally loved the Hunt for Gollum, but to be honest, I didn't finish Born of Hope because... well, I couldn't stand Gilraen. I found her silly and superficial, and couldn't help rooting for Arathor...

Re: Finally! A cloak!
Excellent work, young Ranger! And I know we have some anti-cotton snobs on the list, but cotton is a staple in warmer climes, like, say Utah and south Georgia. I know that here in Georgia you get a lot more death from heat stroke than hypothermia. Even now on November 22, it's 76 degrees going on 1...

Re: Museum Replicas Create Your Own Swords
That's an excellent point, and I was mostly speaking in hyperbole. But what I suppose I should have said was "I'm not sure I'll ever be able to justify spending that much on a sword." But maybe someday.

Re: A Challenge
I for one would love to. Sadly, I don't really know of anyone who would be willing to go a-trekking with me, and therefore couldn't really document the experience in pictures. But hopefully next week I'll be able to get some anyway, because an acquaintance of mine needs some shots for a photography ...

Re: Heads up on a good sword American Rev/French Indian War
I've always loved the look of that one. A bit later period than I usually go for (either for Pirate stuff or for Medieval stuff - though it could barely pass for Pirate), but still a very nice looking blade.

Re: Hood Pattern
Yep, what Peter said! And by the way, that leather hood in your pictures looks awesome! Must get kinda' heavy though, I'd imagine. Another good example of a leather hood is the one Russel Crowe wears in the Ridley Scott Robin Hood film: http://cdn0.hark.com/images/000/038/107/38107/original.0 http:/...

Oh, and I just realized that the picture SHOULD read "Cut two, OR cut on the fold." Whoops!

Hood Pattern
Haradir expressed interest over in my intro thread about the hood or mantle I'm wearing in a couple pictures, so I thought I'd go ahead and throw up a topic about it. Truly, this is just about the easiest thing a person can possibly make. Second in simplicity, perhaps, only to a semi-circular cloak....

Not at all! I love sharing garb tips! Actually, I'll go ahead and start another thread too, with a rough picture of the hood pattern I used.

Re: New Face at the Inn
Mae Govannen! Welcome to the forum! Your Ranger (and pirate) outfits looks outstanding! I especially love the way your mantle looks. I been meaning to make one of my own for a while now. Would you happen to have a pattern or any tips for a fellow Ranger? Thanks again everybody! It's great to get su...

Re: Museum Replicas Create Your Own Swords
Haha, yeah, that was me. But the best man for the sword won, I think. Loved his winning picture. I'd like to get some of me like that actually.

Re: Museum Replicas Create Your Own Swords
Yeah, I totally agree. They'd be crazy not to pursue it. I'd KILL to be able to do that. I mean, I'd love to get my hands on a Christian Fletcher, but the simple fact of the matter is that unless I win one somehow (and lemme tellya, I tried my darndest at this year's Dog Days contest, heh), I'll nev...

Re: New Face at the Inn
Okay, here we go! I put a ton of pics in here for ya'. First, the only pics I got of myself this Halloween dressed in Ranger/Robin Hood gear (sorry for the poor focus): http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e173/scyfygy/DSCN1741.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e173/scyfygy/DSCN1742.jpg http://i39....
