Re: Imgur to remove old content ... and nsfw photos.

So far everything still works as it did. I have noted that over the last year Imgur was blocking linking images to anyone viewing via some VPNs. Imgur won't load, and if an image is hosted on Imgur on a website, it shows as unavailable.

Re: What am I working on?

What am I working on... well, now that we bought a house, the $$ are a bit lacking for extracurricular activities... at least in the acquiring of new stuff. So in working on getting back into attending medieval faires this year after the chaos that has been the first 3 years of the '20s,, I'm going...

Re: Born of Hope

It’s discussed in a separate thread on the forum here but my favorite is Fog on the Barrow-downs and it’s not even released yet! I highly recommend folks check out the trailer. I’m very excited for its eventual release. I was today years old when I heard of Fog on the Barrow Downs project. Off to c...

Re: War of the Rohirrim - New anime movie

I just hope they take as much care with the source material as Jackson did :P Sorry, I just had to laugh at that. PJ emasculated Aragorn and the core of the story. That is all. Onward to this Rohirrim project. I'm hoping for the best but will expect the worst. Hopefully they get the core of the sto...

Re: Swedish media group buys Middle-earth Enterprises

Tough crowd here. Personally, I'm looking forward to what they come up with. They could take sections of the appendices and make some really good Middle Earth visual media. The Kin Strife, the Partition of Arnor, etc. Will they though? Doubtful, but one can hope.I look forward to the Rohirrim anima...

Re: Rings of Power- Your thoughts?

I'll pipe in here now that its been several months since it dropped. Ever since I heard about this 'deal' the Tolkien Estate made with Amazon, I didn't have high hopes for anything good to come from it. Basically what they paid for was the television series rights that Tolkien withheld in his origi...

Re: Invitation to Tharbad

(Warning: Necropost Ahead) The Forsaken Inn - I have written so many collaborative roleplays based on that inn. One was the Dunedain Rangers using it as a way-stop and a gathering place for occasional meetings since it was deserted and Barliman Butterbar frowned upon 'them rangers' when they were i...

Re: Rangers of Ithilien posting

As far as I understand it, the large majority of the population of Gondor is, at least to some degree, Dúnedain. Other, more learned members of the forum can correct me if I’m wrong here, but basically: Gondor was founded by Isildur and Anárion after their escape from Numenor, and a large portion o...

Re: New Aussie ranger

Unfortunately not this year. My wife and I had plans for 2020 but the plague happened, and now we're in the middle of making some big life decisions so the 'fun' things have been put on hold for 2022. We were just looking at some pictures we had of our time at Cammlann Village in Washington State a...

Re: Inns of Middle Earth

For us in the US, I don't know what side of the country you're on, but if you're west coast you might try Camlann - https://camlann.org/bors_hede.htm (I've eaten there, and it's grand! I wasn't fond of the cider though. :) ) I loved going to Camlann Village when I lived in Washington! Went to a ban...

Re: New Aussie ranger

Hail and well met my friends! You can call me Elswyth or Cedar (neither are my "true" name, but I gather names like one might gather nuts in the autumn), I am an aspiring ranger from Australia. I've had a long love of fantasy and particularly Tolkien, and have been intending to put togeth...
