Re: What's everyone working on?
Oh, sorry no. For your bushcraft knife, it seems like that angled loop is your suspension right? It’s neither a horizontal or vertical suspension since it’s angled so I was wondering how you liked it. Oh, yes. The angled loop is if I want to do an angled carry on the back or crossdraw on the front,...

Re: What's everyone working on?
It looks great redhand! That's an interesting suspension method you have there. How do you like it? I assume you mean the suspension on my snapsack. I got rid of the twine and made 4 little straps to hang on each D ring. It worked out great. It sat comfortably on the quiver harness. http://i.imgur....

Re: Born of Hope
I've seen Born of Hope and Pathfinder, but never Horn of Gondor. They did an amazing job on that one!

Re: What's everyone working on?
Been pretty heavy on the leatherwork lately. Working on a new sheath for my bushcraft knife. A bit modern, and not the most "Rangery," but it's a far cry better than the nylon and plastic sheath the knife came with. It's a stout camp knife that I wear kinda hidden around the back, under th...

Re: What's everyone working on?
I finally finished the leatherwork and stitching on my snapsack! Oh my god, my fingers are sore. This is the most stitching I've ever done on a leather project and the main seam is rolled to make it 4 layers thick! http://i.imgur.com/GXPVuG1l.jpg http://i.imgur.com/WppuS7Zl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/5e...

Re: What's everyone working on?
you are trolling through older posts to find inspiration. Oddly enough, I did not find it looking through the forum. I was google image searching for something like “Middle Earth Ranger Symbol”, saw the pic and was pleasantly surprised to be brought back here. So, since I’ve been making so much ran...

By all means, let us know next time you’re going out. If you’re up for it, there’s no reason any solo hike can’t become an outing for 2 or 3. Even if it’s just a random weekend morning hike, I’m up for it!Thalion of Bree wrote: ↑Sun May 07, 2023 4:02 pm Blast it. Every time there's an outing in my area, I'm at work. Oh well; y'all have fun!

Re: What's everyone working on?
https://i.imgur.com/cbPEgbu.jpg I have made pins for the Southeast Rangers! This is the prototype and very easy to make. I'll have a dozen or so with me at the upcoming Dockery Lake Campout and future meetups. The symbol is a simple "SE" for Southeast, written in Tengwar. I 3D printed a l...

Re: What's everyone working on?
Kramer (Living Anachronism) had a demo of how as the quiver flexes it traps the arrows so they don't bounce out, I have this Elven quiver from Ravenswood Leather. https://ravenswoodleather.com/elven-quiver-3pt/ The fur lining inside the quiver keeps arrows from bouncing and they're still drawn and ...
