Re: What are the contents of Aragorn's belt pouch?
Welcome to the forum!
That seems like a good choice for the contents of a pouch to me, you seem to have covered most things. The only thing I can think is you may want more than one arrowhead?

Re: Hail Rangers!
Thank you for the warm welcome everyone! And thank you Elleth, I am honored that you have heard tales of our company's exploits. Our group is primarily made up of Arnorians, though we have one dwarf, and I myself am a proud son of Mirkwood. I believe we will be heading down into the Adirondacks in ...

Re: What Sort of Hat for a Dwarf?
Thankyou Taurinor for the research. That's nothing like what I first had in mind but it's interesting and another option to think about. (Now I have a lot of options :P ) I guess that because traveling wouldn't be that comon place for a dwarf or Erebor, they may not make a hat designed for summer us...

Welcome to the forum Ranger!
I probably speak for most here when I say "I'm interested, post it"Ruinar Hrafnakveðja wrote:Hail and Mae Govannen fellow Rangers!
I also have a short backstory write up as an intro to a larger work of fiction for my Ranger persona if anyone here would be interested!

Re: What Sort of Hat for a Dwarf?
Women who did hearth cooking primarily used wool skirts up the Colonial Period. Wool was used as it smoulders instead of bursting into flames. Smouldering wool gives off quite the odor and many fires were prevented due to the stink and oily smoke. When I think of smiths, I picture a leather apron w...

Re: A Ranger's falchion?
I, personally, have always liked the look of this one:

Maybe one day
I don't see a problem with falchions in middle earth, I suppose it depends on your own interpretation.

Re: A Ranger's falchion?
I may be wrong but I don't think there is any reference to rangers carrying falchions. That said they were available in middle earth and rangers are traveling people. If it is an easier weapon for you to cary, I see no reason why you couldn't have got held of one on your travels.

Re: What Sort of Hat for a Dwarf?
Hmmm.... A lot to think about. Very well researched, thank you to both of you. I like the idea of an adapted version of a linen welding hat, not so keen on a face shield though. I think a felt hat would be great in the winter but probably to hot for the summer and still doesn't have a brim, even tho...

What Sort of Hat for a Dwarf?
It's been unnaturally hot here in the UK for quite a while now and it looks set to continue. I haven't gone out in kit for quite a long time, simply because I have nothing appropriate for hot weather (a very un-British problem). My most recent kit outing was the medieval fair, in a reduced version o...

Re: Some new stuff
Ok, where did Dwarvish swords come in? Are you referring to my dwarf design on the war hammer, are you making a Narsil reference, or something else? Ah! Only because Iodo has a Dwarvish persona and mentions being unsure how to go with decorating her new treasure. :) And since she's learning smithin...
