Sierra Strider Soft Kit Breakdown

The soft kit is a fair bit simpler than my hard kit, as of now.

The tunic is a linen "Viking tunic" from armstreet with the trim removed and dyed a darker green. I also added a hood for sun protection.

The pants are Armstreet Thorsberg pants. I originally got them in a dark blue, but...they looked pretty much exactly like jeans. So, I used Rit dye remover, which was astonishingly effective. After about 30 seconds of soaking, they had gone from dark blue to a light beige. I then re-dyed them dark brown.

The "tall boots of dark leather" are Footskins' tall deertan moccasins with leather soles.

My cloak is a simple square of wool cloth, about 4'x4'. I pin it at the throat with a combination penanular pin/flint striker. It also works quite nicely as an awl.

That looks amazing :P is the cloak big enough to use as a blanket?
Gimli: It's true you don't see many Dwarf-women. And in fact, they are so alike in voice and appearance, that they are often mistaken for Dwarf-men.
Aragorn: It's the beards.

Certainly not on its own, nor is it very thick--but it definitely supplements the bedroll pretty well.

They are SO COMFY. Easily the comfiest shoes I own. Not sure about durability of the leather soles, but hopefully I'll be able to re-sole them myself if it ever comes to that. The metal grommets for the laces also aren't period by any means, but they're too nice to quibble about such things, for me.
