Nalbinding Needle

A lot of reenactment level work is about learning appropriate historical crafts and skills. This board is for all general skills that don't have their own forum.

Nalbinding Needle

Post by BrianGrubbs »

My mother in law requested a Nalbinding needle for Christmas, but I wasn’t able to locate my piece of cow bone in time to make it for her. Better late than never!

I made this out of a piece that I cut from a cow femur. I’ve had it sitting around since I found it in a pasture some 20 years ago! Glad to finally put it to use. Might have to make one for myself now!

I made a video walking through my process, which I will post once I’ve given the gift!
