Dúnedain Star Resources

Post by Manveruon »

Okay, so I’ve been looking AAAALLLLLLLLL OVER online to see if I could find some decent options available for that most elusive of kit items - the Star of the Dúnedain, and I’m going to post what I’ve found below! Obviously not all of these will be available forever, as some of them are one-offs, but if you have any to add to the list, feel free to pitch in!

OKAY, here are all the ones I’ve managed to compile online. Obviously I cannot vouch for each and every one of these sellers, so y’know, buy at your own risk, but here ya’ go:

Shadowstar Studio (this is the local CO guy I was working with a while back, and I can’t seem to find it on his website itself but I’m sure he could be contacted about it):

Oh I like some of those!

Eofur's project is of course still my favorite, but for MERF members I did make this a couple years ago:

There's links over in the members forum if anyone wants one.
Sadly it only prints well in cast metal and Shapeways fees have only gotten worse in the intervening years (I don't make a penny off of it).

I absolutely love yours, and I’ve considered getting one for myself for a long while! I just wish Shapeways hadn’t gotten SO DAMNED EXPENSIVE (and also that they offered more actual silver-tone options, because most of their metals are very bronzey).

But speaking of expensive… anyone got an extra 3 grand just laying around? Because this one is kind of incredible but WOOOOOW that price tag!

It’s a shame, because it’s a really fascinating, unique design! It really does have the feel of an ancient artifact from a long-lost, medieval-esque culture.

I can actually see a bit of a numenorean vibe in that one.... but not the good kind. To me it looks kinda creepy- I think it's the rounded spikes for rays.

Hah! Yeah okay, I can definitely see what you mean. A bit of an Angmar Black Numenorean vibe. Just a touch of Sauron’s influence.
