Looking for a Middle-earth Appropriate Penannular Brooch

Basically the title. Looking for a penannular brooch that would work well in Middle-earth - Dunedain especially. Something on the smaller side (~<3 inches) that could support a wool cloak and dull in appearance. Artistic is fine but culturally appropriate and preferably a little rough to denote a Ranger's lifestyle. Just a simple brooch with a bit of M.e. flair is what I'm wanting. Handmade preferred.

I'd prefer to support people on the board so if you have something that would work, let me know. Otherwise, a heads-up to somewhere else would be appreciated.

I’ve found a few beautiful ones on Etsy! Here are some examples of ones I like the look of:

If you're looking for something forged, there are a few members here who do various sorts of smithing, if you want to ask them.

caedmon - I know Jack does some casting, but I can't remember if he is also a smith (and my forum searching abilities were failing me). I wanted to include him, though!

Eric C. - Ichthean Forge on Facebook (you may want to message him there; I'm not sure how often he checks the forum)

Gulli - Petr Florianek Gullinbursti, also on Facebook

Odigan - Meuleurgy, also on Etsy and Facebook

Ursus - I don't know if he has a web presence for his work, but I know a couple of folks here have received knives from him for Yule

I'm sure I've missed some folks, but those are who came first to mind! I don't know that any of them would have anything in stock or have open commissions or even if they all do that sort of work, but it doesn't hurt to ask!

I don't do custom work any more.

I know my personality, and it's much more important for me to get something right than to get it finished. And for some weird reason, most people do not appreciate 2+ year turn-arounds. ( Personally I don't get it. )

That said, this got me thinking. This is probably where I would take a Northernish/Rangerish penanular... I'd use Numenorean plant motifs. A flower or maybe an Aloe on the pin, and a papyrus on the terminals.

caedmon, that's so lovely! It looks fantastically northern and I could easily imagine this style being popular with Rangers. I was originally thinking something plainer but this feels so much more right. Would you mind if I used it for inspiration?

I can't believe I didn't think of etsy. Thanks for the links!

Ahh, thank you for the list! I've talking to Odigan about a possible knife being made. Maybe I could ask if he could squeeze a brooch in as well.

I'm incredibly hesitant to take any new commissions myself. I don't like having people wait forever to get their product. I get to a point where I just want it done and out of my hands. Therefore I feel like the customer isn't getting my best work.

As for your design, that is beautiful! Now I'm wondering what tooling I need to make and what skills I should develope to pull that off in steel - that is if you don't mind.
