Yeah, I always thought that was the implication Manveruon. Good looking stuff! I think some shiny brass buttons on the jacket would look great.

Well I have always thought of myself as a fairly poor hobbit family. Not really poor I guess but somewhere in the middle. So like Sam in the films isn't shown wearing fine clothing because he was a gardener. Not a very high station in Hobbit society. Not that he didn't possess some nicer clothes for going to party's etc...but for just every day wear you wouldn't wear your nicest waistcoat or jacket.
