Friends/Foes

Post by RangerKellen »

How come whenever you go to someone's profile it gives you the ability to add them as a friend/foe? Does that do anything special :?:

On some larger forums, there is a like or ignore selection. It's for the instances where there are some past issues. Major differences in opinions that can lead to verbal conflict.

It is IMO unnecessary here, first we have only a small active membership, so that if you strongly disagreed, with say me, you'd just not read my posts.

Most disagreements arise from differences of opinion regarding politics, morality or religion. We're pretty good about not discussing these (taboo here) topics. This way no one feels they have to defend their stance, which is at the core of everyones sense of identity.

It keeps the discussions warm and friendly and provides a nice safe haven for all of us.
