New to Middle-earth
New to Middle-earth
Hello rangers.
My Name is Dennis but i go by Asbjorn(God bear in old norse) and i think it is a fitting name for me because i am 6,2 and weigh 120kg(260 pounds) and have a really bulky physique.
I lost my sight in my left eye last year to a disese so i have been on sick leave for the last 9 months.
I dont have my character completely flushed out yet but with just one eye who dosent think pirate, i have some of the core features worked out atleast.
He will be based around a project boat i bought last week and will be kind of a viking living in the south part of middle-earth and will patrol the south coast.
The idea is that he will be using a viking axe and boar spear but further than this i havent cone yet so if you have any suggestions they are more than welcome.
This is the project boat i was talking about.
Sorry about my english im from sweden.

Welcome! Honestly, with a personal backstory like that, I bet you’d make a RAD Beorning!

Welcome! That's a gorgeous looking craft. What's the length?
I'll echo Manveruon, it sounds like you might be physically suited to a Beorning persona. We can always use more folks portraying watermen in Wilderland.
If you do want to go ahead with something more 'southern', then you would be looking at either a Gondorian or a Corsair of Umbar impression...a 'Viking' would not be a Middle-earth character type ; )

Nice! Yeah, Udwin portrays a Beorning as well, and knows AAALLLL about their culture and history, etc. so if you ever have any Beorning questions, he’s your man for sure!

I've been looking for a hull like that for YEARS now to re-fit as a square-rig...I absolutely cannot wait to see what you do with it!

Welcome Asbjorn!
But the white fury of the Northmen burned the hotter, and more skilled was their knighthood with long spears and bitter. Fewer were they but they clove through the Southrons like a fire-bolt in a forest.
