Artwork of Tom Bombadil and Goldberry - thought I should share it here

Post by Iodo »

I just came across this surfing the net:

Image

It's by an artist called Aegeri, here's the link: https://www.deviantart.com/aegeri/art/M ... -920434285 , This is honestly exactly how I imagined him when I read the books, it's a good interpretation :P
Gimli: It's true you don't see many Dwarf-women. And in fact, they are so alike in voice and appearance, that they are often mistaken for Dwarf-men.
Aragorn: It's the beards.

That's fantastic! She has just the right amount of "Faerie" about her.

I appreciate how "Fae" the whole piece is. Very suitable for that particular couple. Lovely stuff, Iodo. Thanks for posting it! Do you happen to have the artist's name? I'd love to take a look at their other work too.

yep, that's the link :P I did put the link to just the art work I shared up in the description, and this artist is concept artwork level skilled but I know nothing about her, or if her art has been used in any books etc... it seems to just be fanart but it's way too good

This is the single most ostentatious comment I will ever make on the forum but I never would have thought to juxtapose the hellish passage of the grinding ice with the beauty of the Aurora. That is so well done and I love the (concept art - thank you Iodo) unfinished art style as well.
But the white fury of the Northmen burned the hotter, and more skilled was their knighthood with long spears and bitter. Fewer were they but they clove through the Southrons like a fire-bolt in a forest.
