Dale made padlock for my workshop

Post by Gulli »

So, actually inspired by a key I was making for Eofor, I was browsing ebay for vintage locks, and I found an affordable padlock in India, saw a brass accent and thought, it may be made to look like Dale. I got the lock, engraved it and here it is, prepared to serve as my smithy lock

I will modify the key and forge myself a nice latch too. Sk to be continued. If you want an item like this, modified by me, don't hesitate to ask

Brilliant...
Another inspiring well done project.

I bought a number of these type of locks years ago to make "old West" strong boxes, still have a few left.
I think now they will have to change form for a different time and place.

BTW Amazon also sells some Indian padlocks.

That is awesome! The dragon motif is particularly well-done and very appropriate!

I know I said it it via PM Petr but I can't tell you how much I love this. Upcycling is probably one the most underutilized talents a person has available to them (though few could do it to this level)
But the white fury of the Northmen burned the hotter, and more skilled was their knighthood with long spears and bitter. Fewer were they but they clove through the Southrons like a fire-bolt in a forest.
