Happy birthday!
And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

Thank you all very much. I ended up only getting two Rangerish gifts this year. A cold Steel Spike Hawk and a forged looking eating utensil set. I'll take pics tomorrow if anyone wants.

Love to get your impression of that Spike Hawk. I was considering that one but I won another Spike Hawk on SBG from Avery which I just received a week ago. I'm sharpening the blade and spike up a bit and doing some work on the haft. When I'm done I'll post some pics.

Re: Happy Birthday Jonathan B.
here are some quick photos. Peter so far I like it quite a bit the haft is solid, it has a decent weight to it, and the edge while not shaving sharp is more than adequate. The only things I'm planning on changing are the paint/coating on the head I'm not a fan but that's up to personal taste and the finish on the haft I'll try to strip that and give it a linseed oil finish.
