My Belt Pouch & Contents.

Hard Kit is all other accoutrements that are not clothing, weapons or armour. This includes pots and tents, and flint & steel, and other things like that.

My Belt Pouch & Contents.

Post by Le-Loup »

My belt pouch is on me all the time, even at night when I lay aside my tomahawk & hunting knife. The belt pouch contains my greased leather fire-bag, which in turn contains my tinderbox & a little small kindling & a beeswax candle.
Also in the belt pouch is my brass sundial compass & my fishing tackle in a brass container.

Nice functional pouch, also good to see someone else carring a hand ax and hunting knife. I love the feel of a good steel sword in my hand, but I find it's not as useful.

In the early 18th century in the New World, the militia had to carry a sword as part of their equipment. But later on this changed, & they were told they could carry a tomahawk/axe instead of the sword. Obviously in the woods a belt axe/tomahawk(the tomahawk was a trade axe) is far more versatile than a sword.

These are the blades I carry at all times in the woods. The smaller sheath knife is my legging knife.

Great looking set, Thanks for sharing. I'll take functional over fancy any day.
