Yeah, the ties in the front are actually very straightforward - just a couple of braided leather cords on either side, secured with knots into holes bunched in the jerkin, and then tied together with a simple square not in the middle.
As soon as I get pictures up of my excursion this past weekend, you guys will be able to see plenty of pics of my own Strider jerkin.
