I think I've posted a couple of Jimmy's videos here before. Or maybe it was on the Facebook group? Anyway, he's a standup guy and one of my favorite YouTubers. He's dead on about how awesome wool is too!

I've tested my living history gear extensively in knee and waist deep snow drifts and have concluded that as long as you keep moving it would take rather extreme temperatures to stop you. I wouldn't have liked to be trying to hard camp at the end of those days though, it was definitely get to the destination, strip off the snow caked garb and light a fire kind of stuff.

But the white fury of the Northmen burned the hotter, and more skilled was their knighthood with long spears and bitter. Fewer were they but they clove through the Southrons like a fire-bolt in a forest.

Here's a couple more videos from Jimmy that the forum might enjoy.

And here's one you might specifically enjoy Manv considering conversations we've had elsewhere.

Hah! I just watched through two out of those three videos yesterday! I actually went ahead and plowed through all of his King Arthur videos, and they are GREAT!
